Your lease text and documents

When you paste lease text or upload a lease document (such as an image or PDF of a worksheet), it is sent to our analysis service and to an AI model solely to extract the relevant figures and generate your plain-English explanation. Once the result is returned, your lease text and any uploaded documents are processed in memory and are not stored on our servers afterward. We do not keep a copy of your lease or documents, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.

Accounts and what we store

Most of Lease Checker is fully public with no login: the car calculator's manual entry, the mini-tools, glossary, state guides, blog, and support page. Signing in is only required for the AI-powered features (property lease clause analysis and car worksheet document extraction), so that automated bots can't drain the free daily analysis capacity.

When you create an account, we store:

• your email address,
• if you sign in with Google, the Google account identifier returned by Google, and
• a per-day AI-usage counter (a small integer, so we can enforce the 3-checks-per-day limit).

We do not store your lease text, uploaded documents, extracted figures, or the analysis results tied to your account. Nothing you paste or upload is written to our database, logs, or analytics — the daily usage counter records only that a check happened, never what it was about. You can delete your account and its usage record at any time from your account settings.

Cookies and advertising

Lease Checker is free and supported by display advertising. We use essential cookies to keep the site working, and, with your consent, advertising cookies that may be set by third party ad networks to show relevant ads and measure their performance. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit, and third parties may process limited data such as your IP address and device information under their own privacy policies.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage, such as which pages are visited. This data is not used to identify individual users.
