Instead it charges the one-time Title Ad Valorem Tax (TAVT), and for a lease the TAVT base is the total of the base lease payments plus any down payment, rather than the vehicle's full value. TAVT is due when the vehicle is titled and is usually capitalized into the lease, so you finance it across the term.
What Georgia's tax method means for your payment
